Memory Game for Preschoolers
Sometimes my daughter's memory really amazes me. She'll say, "Mommy, can I have a cookie? Remember that one time, when I was two, when we drove by this one store and you let me get a cookie? Since we're going by that store again, can I have a cookie again?"
So, I decided to put her memory really to the test. We gathered up about seven toys and I put them on the table. Then I told her to close her eyes and I took away one toy. She opened her eyes and was supposed to tell me what was missing. She was really good at it. She would yell right away, "The Pony!" I finally had to get some things that were more similar to make it harder. Even Little Buddy (2.5 years) enjoyed this game too, although he wasn't quite as good at it!

This sounds like fun!
ReplyDeleteGreat activity!!! I think I'll have my 2 year old try it out on me. Haha!
ReplyDeleteI'm having the 4 year old I nanny try this tomorrow. She is all about memory card games and she's pretty good at them and surprises me at how much she pays attention. Other times when I need her to pay attention she totally forgets what is going on!
ReplyDeleteFish make both beautiful and entertaining pets. If you are a beginner or an expert always follow some
ReplyDeleteFishcare guide which makes them more enthusiastic. So research well enough to see your pet fish swim.
It's amazing how quickly little ones pick up on details. I've been enjoying a similar kind of focused mental exercise lately with Geometry Dash, actually. There's something incredibly satisfying about clearing rows and keeping the board from filling up; it's a great way to unwind and feel like you're achieving something small but tangible. It's funny how different games can provide that same sense of satisfaction. Do you find that some toys work better than others for your memory game, or is it more about the number of items you're using?
