V-Day Playdough pretend "cookies"

I found these cute little heart trays in the dollar bin at Target (although I think the "dollar" bin is deceiving since they were really $2). This weekend I got out some Playdough and our new heart trays and Munchkin Girl was THRILLED!! She got her dolls all set up to watch (notice one in the other's lap. That was her doing, not mine).

She used a lot of fine motor and strength to manipulate all that Playdough into each heart shape and it took quite a bit of time (at least 30 minutes). We have been working on coming up with ways to make her fingers stronger since she still struggles a little with holding the pencil correctly.

When she was finished, she had to take it over to her "oven" for all the cookies to bake. Gotta love a little imagination time on top of fine motor skill!

She seems to be really enjoying that. She's developing her fine motor skills without even knowing it! :)

She's so cute! That looks like fun. I saw a craft on a website the other day using those same cookie sheets where they melted broken crayons into the trays creating heart shaped multi-colored crayons. I found your blog from your comment on the My Twin*tastic Life blog.

Synergistic Use the following with caution: Single Oils: Angelica, cedarwood, chamomile (German/blue), cistus, citronella, clary sage, clove bud, cumin (Black), cypress, davana, fennel, bay laurel, marjoram, mountain savory, myrrh, nutmeg, peppermint, rose, spearmint, vetiver, yarrow.
4. Read and follow instructions carefully.
5. Always take precautions with using Aromatherapy.
6. Unless otherwise stated, never use essential oils on your skin without diluting the essential oil with a carrier oil. A skin test is recommended prior to use. If you experience any soreness, redness or irritation do not use the blend.
7. If an essential oil or essential oil blend gets into your eye, flush the eye immediately with a carrier oil or cold milk. Seek medical attention if the stinging and/or irritation continues.
8. Do not use more than 2 drops of the following essential oils when used in a bath the first time: Aniseed, Black pepper, Camphor (rectified), Citronella, Clove, Eucalyptus globulus, Ginger, Juniperberry, Peppermint, Sage, Spearmint, Thyme.
9. If allergic to certain foods, do not use essential oils or carrier oils that come from those foods.
10. The following essential oils should be avoided if you have epilepsy: Cajeput, Camphor, Eucalyptus, Fennel, Peppermint, Rosemary
