Secret Grooming Habits of a Busy Mom

1.  Eyebrow plucking
Today I had a few extra minutes before Little Buddy's doctor's appointment.  I glanced in the mirror and noticed that my eyebrows were out of control.  True werewolf style.  I looked around my car for tweezers and couldn't find any, so I started pulling out my eyebrows with my fingers.  I was afraid I would forget to do it if I didn't take care of it right away.  The sad thing is, this seemed totally normal at the time.

2.  Ironing
I haven't even bothered to unpack my iron since we moved 6 months ago because I choose to ignore wrinkles.  If I'm being honest thing, I didn't iron much even before kids.

3.  Time to get ready for a big event
We had a wedding a few weeks ago and I had a full 15 minutes to get ready all by myself.  It seemed like absolute luxury.

  3. Ha ha ha...isn't the car the BEST place to pluck eyebrows? The lighting is FANTASTIC for it. Anytime we go on a long trip my husband somehow remembers to set the tweezers up by seat. How thoughtful of him, yes?

    And the ironing?...what's ironing? Hmmmm.....

    Too funny....I thoroughly enjoyed. Thanks

  4. Haha I know, the lighting is great in the car! In fact, on the way to the wedding, I took the tweezers and I made my husband so nervous with the sharp object by my eye that he said I was going to be "Mommy with a Patch" :-)

Love your honesty! :o) I have one almost 5 yr old son, and I have no idea how people manage with more than one kid. ha I always wad up a piece of the garment I'm gonna buy in my hands to assess its future need for ironing, before I buy it. haha No joke. Nice to meet you. :)

  7. Love this post! I fast learning why many moms opt for hooded tops and jeans. I'm lucky if I get to slather on chapstick, lol
