Last night Munchkin Girl was having terrible dry mouth and lips. I kept encouraging her to drink more water all day, but of course it takes a few days to see any improvment. I finally broke down and started putting Blistex on her. Now, keep in mind, it's really just chapstick (See sidebar) All day she kept asking for more and definitely developed the chapstick addition we all know so well.
I tucked her into bed and about 3 minutes later she was screaming. I went running up the stairs and found her sobbing.
She wiped her tears with her hand. "I need more lipstick and I need a kiss."
She's only three years old. So now on my to-do list today is to make sure she understands the difference between chapstick and lipstick so she doesn't go to pre-school begging for lipstick. The teachers would definitely judge me.
